Poor quality

This is not made for long term use - after just a couple of years it's rusty and has a spot on the lip where it's rusted clear through,so cannot be used as it won't hold water. Initially it did serve ok for a small flock, but I purchased a galvanized metal one with the idea it would last for years - not the case at all! It's not worth the money, plastic breaks and I'm still looking for a reliable way to insure chicks have water. Very disappointed in the poor quality.

The stopper that keeps water from flowing into outer rim is very weak, so water continues to flow into the outer rim while you are filling the fountain (cylinder), which in turn overflows the outer rim and makes a mess. I do like the design and it would be very easy to fill if not for the weak stopper. Just be sure to check the stopper strength before you purchase.
