not recommended if it snows!
Date:May 9, 2012
this is not for climates that recieve more than 6 inches of wet snow in less than 24 hours unless your prepared to remove the snow before it builds up because the roof spars cannont take the weight of the snow due to poor design of the roof spars. i should have purchased one with a round roof, it would probably take the weight better. at least it would be easier to remove the snow. they should have doubled the number of roof spars to compensate for the weight, but, you would still have to remove the snow.

Great Product if you have no sun exposure.

The steel frame structure of this product is excellent. Easy to understand assembly instructions. We bought two of these from Tractor Supply a few years ago. We put the original cover on one of them, and ordered a opaque white greenhouse cover from Shelterlogic to install on the other. Shortly after a year was up, (they are conveniently warrantied for one year), the original "dark green cover" had deteriorated and fell off the frame. I had another "dark green cover" stored away that came with the other frame, (now the greenhouse). I installed the other new cover, even insulating the steel beams with foam, thinking that "metal heat" had contributed to the early demise of the first cover. Within a year that cover shredded off the frame. We're in the NC mountains, normal annual amount of sun, wind, rain, snow etc. Expected these tops to have more of a lifespan than just the warranty period. The opaque white greenhouse cover that we paid a premium price for from Shelterlogic, has shown absolutely no wear or tear and has been in direct sun light, year 'round, for over three years. So, that's why I've rated this product 2 stars, great if you only expect the cover to last until right after the manufacturers warranty runs out.

Weak structure, poor wind resistance
Date:February 21, 2012
Purchased it to cover tractor and some basic equipment out in the field instead of using tarps. Looked and felt sturdy when assembling. However, anchoring and tubing was insufficient strength to withstand normal winds. Unit lasted less than 3 months before bending and breaking. Contacted company for replacement parts cost estimate, and it is almost as much as an entire new unit. (Would not be bad if only 1 or 2 tubes, but for multiple bent tubes it is not worth it) Still working this issue. Recommend using additional ground mounting beyond the 6 supplied augers if you get one. Also for a "garage", the door opening is too low! My tractor will not fit under it without removing the exaust stack, and I do not have a large tractor. I cannot imagine most standard size trucks clearing it. Small cars or low to the ground vehicles may fit, but not most standard farm/working equipment.

Shelterlogic Garage In a Box
Date:January 1, 2012
Just purchased this garage so I can't speak to it's lifespan thus far but can review unit itself. Assembled garage by myself, was pretty straight forward, some directions aren't exactly clear(revisions to product but not directions) & some poles must be removed & re-installed to put cover on but overall easy assembly. This is as they state a temporary structure but for what I paid(TSC had best deal plus extras only they include) in comparison to anything else it's a great deal! Hope to get a couple years out of this and would definately purchase another.
