Pool Pump that Pumps

I have been running this Shur-Dri pump for over a year now. Installation was a simple no brainer, I never even looked at the instructions so I can't say how good they were. It worked the first time and every time after that. It is a pump that pumps. What more could you ask for, what more do you need?
One item of note, I have noticed that it likes to be primed. It does not llike trying to draw against a significant head without some water in its intake basket first, but that's only an issue when I clean filters.
So far, so good with this pump, the GE motor does give me some confidence that this thing may last a while though.
