With a little care, will last the ages

We use our cast iron skillet for cooking just about everything. We stir-fry vegetables, make grilled cheese sandwiches, cook burgers.
We keep it seasoned by not using soap or hot water to clean it, scouring it with rock salt if it needs it, and occasionally wiping its inside surface with a little olive oil on a cloth.
With that minimum of care, it's a great skillet that will last essentially forever.
