Works Great!
Date:December 26, 2011
Bought one of these after RETURNING another brand to another store that FALSED A LOT! This item worked WITHOUT HAVING TO ADJUST IT, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! And, No FALSING when the birds "play" in my driveway or when the wind blows! ALSO this receiver works INSIDE MY HOUSE unlike the OTHER BRAND THAT I RETURNED TO THE OTHER STORE! I was so pleased with this one that I bought another as a gift for a relative!

Didn't work for me
Date:June 14, 2011
I was excited to find this product for about one third of the price of the product that I was considering. So I bought 2 of these. One for my detached garage drive that is 150 ft from the house and the other for attached garage drive. I tried it first on the detached garage and it did not work. I tried elevating so it was in line of sight to the receiver... it did not work. I thought maybe it was a bad unit so I tried the other one with the same results. Then I tried it on the attached drive. The sensor was about 40 ft from the receiver and it did not work. I put the receiver on the window sill and I could get it to work about half the time in that position. I returned both units for a refund and am now considering the Dakota again.

Works Good
Date:November 12, 2010
It works good, Easy to install,Range was not 400 feet. I could only get it to work in a straight uninterupted line of about 200 feet. The receiver sound is too low even at the highest setting. I have tried a few other brands and each one had some floor. If the sound was louder it would have been great
