Great sensor for the price

The best sensor I have had to date. I would have given it 5 stars but the volume could be louder on the receiver. I have had sensors in the past but this one is by far the best yet. No false warnings and it has always sensed a vehicle in the driveway. The receiver is about 200 feet from the transmitter and I have had no problems.

Not reliable but>>>

I have had this product for over a year and it works intermittently. I live in a rather wet area (Erie, Pa) and it never works during a rain or after a rainy period. It appears the product has now stopped working totally. It hasn't worked in weeks even during a dry period. My driveway is 600 ft and i have it at about 300 ft..with decent line of sight. When it worked it was very effective but I suppose the weather finally did it in after a year or so. It is not reliable but I can't find anything else that is satisfactory. I will buy the new model and try it out but will return it if I experience the same problems.

Bought one of these after RETURNING another brand to another store that FALSED A LOT! This item worked WITHOUT HAVING TO ADJUST IT, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!
And, No FALSING when the birds "play" in my driveway or when the wind blows! ALSO this receiver works INSIDE MY HOUSE unlike the OTHER BRAND THAT I RETURNED TO THE OTHER STORE!
I was so pleased with this one that I bought another as a gift for a relative!

Didn't work for me

I was excited to find this product for about one third of the price of the product that I was considering. So I bought 2 of these. One for my detached garage drive that is 150 ft from the house and the other for attached garage drive. I tried it first on the detached garage and it did not work. I tried elevating so it was in line of sight to the receiver... it did not work. I thought maybe it was a bad unit so I tried the other one with the same results.
Then I tried it on the attached drive. The sensor was about 40 ft from the receiver and it did not work. I put the receiver on the window sill and I could get it to work about half the time in that position.
I returned both units for a refund and am now considering the Dakota again.
