Old TB gelding
Date:October 4, 2011
My retired thoroughbred racehorse at 22 is tough to keep weight on and is VERY finicky, you worst nightmare as an owner. Sam likes these pellets. I do add a bit of water when I feed. They break down quickly. He doesn't take his head out of the bucket. My younger mare doesn't like them as much, which is okay because nutritionally she does not need to have any. Will try to update as the winter weather comes if they help keep fat on his thin body.

My Horses Say Yum!
Date:August 25, 2010
Both my Arabian and my App/Quarter love the taste of these alfalfa pellets. I like them much better than the alfalfa cubes because I don't have to soak them overnight like I did the cubes. Saves time. I still soak the pellets because my horses are both over 20 years old and their teeth are worn down, but I only have to pour some water on and by the time I give them their buckets, it's ready to munch.

Horses Won't Eat these Alfalfa Pellets
Date:February 23, 2010
I tried the Producers Pride Alfalfa pellets; I have 4 horses. One would not eat them at all, one barely picked at them, 2 ate them but only if left in the stalls with the pellets for over 2 hours without other feed. I tried offering the pellets for 5 days and my horses are never picky eaters. Seemed to have an off smell to the pellets. TSC was great in refunding money, and customer service at the 888 number on the bag was also good. So maybe I just got a bad batch, but I won't buy them again.
