Lucerne Farms® HI Fiber™ Horse Feed is a measured blend of timothy, oat and alfalfa hay, short chopped for easier chewing and digestibility. Great for the older horse as well as maintenance of the pleasure horse. Dried at a high temperature to lock in the natural nutrition. This process also eliminates harmful mold spores that are detrimental to horses with respiratory problems.

Ingredients:
Dehydrated chopped timothy hay, oat hay, alfalfa hay, cane molasses, propionic acid (preservative).

Guaranteed Analysis:
Protein (min.) 9.0%, Fat (min.) 1.5%, Fiber (min.) 30.0%, Calcium (min.) 0.4%, Calcium (max.) 0.7% max., Phosphorus (min.) 0.2%

Feeding Instructions:
Determine the proper amount according to the horse's age, weight, temperament and work load.

When fed as the sole forage ration, feed 1% - 1.5% of the horses bodyweight per day.

When fed as a supplement, feed 4 to 6 lbs. per day.

When fed as a partial hay replacement, feed on a pound for pound exchange rate.

This feed can be fed in a bucket, in a corner feeder mixed with the daily grain ration or even outside in a feed tub. However you choose to feed, remember to calculate your feed by weight not volume. As a guide, a 5 gallon water bucket packed full with our forage weighs approximately 5 pounds.

*Always make changes to your horse's diet gradually over a period of 7 to 10 days.
