Description
Safe-Guard® Equi-Bits® Top Dress Pellets Equine Dewormer is a n easy equine deworming solution in one single dose that is a convenient alternative to paste deworming. Apple flavored and safe for pregnant mares and foals. For the control of large strongyles (Strongylus edentatus, S. equinus, S. vulgaris, Triodontophorus spp.), small strongyles (Cyathostomum spp., Cylicocyclus spp., Cylicostephanus spp.), pinworms (Oxyuris equi), and ascarids (Parascaris equorum).
Ingredients:
Wheat Middlings, Dehydrated Alfalfa Meal, Calcium Carbonate, Corn Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles, Mineral Oil, Cane Molasses, Preserved with Propionic Acid, Apple Flavoring.
Guaranteed Analysis:
Crude protein (min.) 12.5%, Crude fat (min.) 2.0%, Crude fiber (max.) 13.0%, Calcium (min.) 6.0%, Calcium (max.) 7.2% , Phosphorus (min.) 0.2%, Copper (min.) 0.1 ppm, Selenium (min.) 0.01 ppm, Zinc (min.) 1.0 ppm.
Feeding instructions:
The recommended dose is 5 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight (2.27 mg fenbendazole per pound) in a ONE (1) DAY treatment. For ascarids the recommended dose is 10 mg fenbendazole per kg body weight (4.54 mg fenbendazole per pound) in a ONE (1) DAY treatment. All horses must be eating normally to ensure that each animal consumes an adequate amount of the medicated feed. Safe-Guard® Equi-Bits® Top Dress Pellets must be spread uniformly on top of the daily ration.
There are no known contraindications for the use of Safe-Guard® Equi-Bits® Top Dress Pellets in horses. Side effects associated with Safe-Guard® (fenbendazole) could not be established in well-controlled safety studies in horses with single doses as high as 454 mg/lb (1,000 mg/kg) and 15 consecutive daily doses of 22.7 mg/lb (50 mg/kg).
