These are the best clippers you can buy
Date:August 11, 2010
I purchased these clippers back in 2005 and are the best clippers in the world. I use them on horses, one being a draft, our dog and yes....my husband. I usually have to purchase two blades a year since I use them so much and our Schnauzer dog has fine hair (the blades have to be very sharp for fine hair). I 've only had to purchase one new battery. They've fallen out of my hands onto the ground, etc, etc and still keep clipping. They work great on horses, not extremly noisy, and work on ears, face and legs. I use them on my draft mare and she has very thick hair and I also clip the fringe on her legs. I compare her to a "wooly mamouth," and yes my husband clips his hair and beard with them (he even works in an office, clean set of blades just for him)...multi-tasking clippers . We were at a horse show and friends used them and I didn't think I would get them back....so if you're looking for a good set of equine clippers...get these....you won't regret it.

Great Clipper!

I bought these clippers for clipping the super thick bridle path and fetlocks of my Haflinger. I have tried other clippers and either they were too weak and I had to spend 20 minutes trying to clip an inch of hair, or they were too strong, too loud, and too cumbersome. The Wahl Arco is a perfect balance! It clips everything evenly and effortlessly glides through the hair, and yet is so quiet with minimal vibrations. These clippers are definately a keeper!

Should be in every tack box!

I have miniature horses which I show, and I use this Arco clipper for doing the bottom of their legs and their faces and ears. It is very quiet, and is very easy to use in spots that can be difficult with larger clippers, such as the ears & the jawline. The adjustable blade is great too - much better then having to stop and put on a new blade. It comes with 2 batteries so one can be charging while you are using the other one. It's not strong enough for doing body clips, but I think most people would find it just as useful as I do for more delicate areas & also for quick touch ups while at the show.
