Feeding instructions:
Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food may be served moist or dry. Either way, it will provide your dog with complete, balanced nutrition. To serve moist, simply add one part warm water (not hot) to four parts Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food. Stir until pieces become moistened. Feed while warm.

A dog should be maintained in good body condition and not allowed to become overweight. The food intake required to maintain good body condition will vary depending on age, activity level, environment, and other stress factors. Show dogs and working dogs will require additional amounts of food depending on their degree of activity or stress. Consequently, the food requirement for each dog will vary, and should be adjusted accordingly. Use the standard chart below as a guide. Hardworking dogs or dogs exposed to cold weather may require 2-3 times these amounts.

Puppies: Puppies begin to eat solid food at 3-4 weeks of age. Add warm water to soften the food and after 8 weeks, mix with water or feed dry. Feed puppies all the moistened Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food they will consume at intervals throughout the day, or use the chart as a guide and feed approximately twice as much as suggested. If fed moistened, do not serve more than what the puppies will consume in a thirty-minute period to ensure product freshness. If fed dry, food may be kept before the puppies at all times. After one year of age, follow adult feeding instructions.

Pregnancy and Nursing: Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food provides the extra nutrition needed by reproducing females in stages of gestation and lactation. Food consumption may vary during gestation, so feed the amount needed to maintain the pregnant female's good body condition. Food intake may double or even quadruple during lactation.

Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of normally active dogs. Quality ingredients are formulated in just the right amounts to provide everything dogs are known to need for complete and balanced nutrition. For best result supplements should not be added, except under the advice of a veterinarian.

Feeding Tip: Changes in your pet's feeding habits should be made gradually. When changing over to Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food, first substitute small amounts of Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food in place of your pet's current food. Then over the next 7-10 days, increase the amounts of Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food, while decreasing amounts of his other food, until your pet has 100% Retriever® Hi Protein Dog Food.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Awesome Dog Food! I breed show quality American Pit Bull Terriers and American Bullies. It was hard finding a dog food that would support the demand of conditioning these high energy dogs for shows. We started feeding Retriever Hi Protein about 6 months ago and absolutely LOVE the outcome. We feed it to puppies, adults, and seniors. The coats glisten, muscle tone is phenomenal, and they're health is superior. I recommend this dog food to anyone and everyone who asks what I feed. Going through about 35lbs a day, the price is right on the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from retriever high protein I purchased this dog food as a last resort. My dog was approaching 2 years old and was still very under weight. She is a mastiff and only weighed 70 lbs and her ribs were showing. She has a sensative stomach to other dog foods and the only food that worked was food with very little meats that I had to get from the vet. I switched her to retriever brand food in an attempt to find a quality food they would get her weight up. IT worked! For the first time ever she is at a normal wieght. After just half a 50lb bag she had gained 10 pounds of weight. I losened her collar twice in one week. Its unbelievable she has retained so much of the nutients in this food. Her coat is not as greesy as it was with other dog foods and she is more active too. This food is a savior and the price is excellent. The number one ingedient is meat, other foods its corn or wheat. I highly recomend retiever dog food. The price is great and the quality is better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dogs love it We have a husky and german shepard, the husky is a rescue dog and was very use to ol'roy. We could not get him to eat ANYTHING else. We were at tractor supply and saw this. So we did A LOT of research on it.Decided to buy it. BEST DECISION EVER, and the husky loves it. Both dogs coats look great and their weight is excellent. Will not ever buy anything else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HI protein I must tell you I dont write reviews normally. I made an account just to write about this dog food. My husband and I have 4 dogs ages 2-10yrs old 2 med and 2 small. I have had the WORSE time trying to find a food that worked for all 4 of them. Well this did! The bites are small so my tea cup has no issues eating the food, and our blue tick hound is keeping her weight on with this food. I fully recommend this FOOD to everyone I know because it has made our LIFE so much easier having only one dog food!
