RedStone™ Wood Fuel are environmentally friendly, additive free, pressed kiln dried hardwood sawdust bricks used for home heating fuel in wood burning stoves, wood burning fireplaces, outdoor fire pits, etc. They burn hotter (from 9,000 to 14,000 BTU's per brick depending on the species of hardwood), longer, and with less smoke than cord wood. Plus ECO Bricks emit fewer particles into the air, while leaving less ash. There are no additives, such as glue or harmful chemicals, in ECO Bricks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Product ! You wont be disappointed ! They are great ! They light easier then logs They stack easier then logs They handle better then logs They have less ash then logs They give out lots of heat and a more even burn I love them because you know they will fit No more bringing in wood so it can dry or getting it in before it snows. Because with this you can have it stacked neatly in the house or garage. Also no bugs or spiders to deal with... Wonderful product !

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent product. Much better Value when on sale I experimented with this product and found it to be a good one. I am using a relatively inefficient Franklin stove at this time, so your results might be different from mine. I have no intentions of using this as my main fuel source, but after doing the best I could with the arithmetic, I find this product to be competitive with my furnace and more expensive than purchased firewood. However, I intend to use it, to put one or two bricks on the fire at bedtime to reduce my use of seasoned hardwood, which I am a bit short on this year. It appears that the brick will burn somewhat longer than a comparable (3 pound) log and thus give heat deeper into the night, causing my furnace to come on later and thus save fuel. I estimate my Franklin efficiency at 45-50% for late night fires when there is a good bed of coals and I can cut off the air as much as possible. In a more modern stove, with an efficiency of 65-75%, the cost would be, I believe, substantially less than kerosene when the bricks are purchased at the sale price. Ease of storage is a big plus with these, as a modest supply can be put in a closet, and a pretty good supply can be stacked in a corner of a shed or garage. As the winter goes on, and I open up some space in my wood shed, I will buy more of these bricks if available at the sale price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, when you can get them! We just bought our house, so we couldn't cut and season our own wood in time for the heating season. These saved us this year, since we only have wood heat and it's pretty hard to find actual SEASONED wood here (not just split, but actually stacked and seasoned for 1+ years). We had to drive almost 40 miles to get them as our local TSC was out of stock though, and now even the further one doesn't have any. We'll be sure to stock up in the summer this year, just in case we need them again (even though we do have wood stacked and seasoning now). I would recommend these to anyone in our situation, especially those with an EPA stove that might not handle wetter wood as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product A friend told me about this product, I tried it and i used these when i first start my coal fire up. They work a lot better than hard wood...keep the fire going. Id reccomend these to anyone! They also burn quite well and seem not to create a lot of cresole.
