Huskee® Front Tine Compact Rototiller is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent performance, best price I could find! Overall, this tiller was a complete surprise, in all the very best ways. Performance, power, lightweight, and very easy to handle... usually I would say something like, "For the money..." about something like this machine, but in this case, I would say that it performs better than any machine at any price. This thing is a serious winner! Assembly: This tiller was fairly painless to assemble. I needed a 13mm socket, a 10 mm socket, and an 8.8mm socket, along with a 3mm hex key. It took about ten minutes to assemble the handlebars and put the tines and shields on the machine. Adding oil to the crankcase required me to fashion a small paper funnel, but that is no different than any small engine I use currently. Power: I won't lie... I was concerned that it would be under-powered because the engine is a smaller unit... Less than half the engine size of my old tiller at 99cc. However, this thing has all the power I could need. Seriously, the machine has power to spare, even when I set it to till at the deepest setting. Handling: This is the easiest handling garden tiller I have used, period. I have a big rear tine that I use to break sod, but for regular tilling, and for tilling once the garden is established, the rear tine is too cumbersome. Once the ground is broken up, the rear tine has trouble moving through the soil because the drive wheels don't get traction. Hence the reason I purchased this unit. This tiller was simply amazing to use. It handled extremely well. It is smooth in the soil and doesn't jump up and down like the previous model I used. The machine turns very short, and I was able to control it with one hand. I literally drank a beer while tilling with this unit. Soil Condition: I worked up a new garden patch this evening. I had previously broken the sod with my rear tine, and had a very rough garden with sod clumps throughout. The rear tine dug to about a 5 inch depth. I put my Huskee in with the depth gauge at the lowest setting, by which I mean, the deepest tilling depth. I tilled the garden plot twice, one pass from north to south, another pass from east to west. After two passes I had 7 to 10 inch deep loose soil, with almost no sign of sod. Grass, yes, but the sod clumps where completely destroyed. The garden was rake-ready, and plantable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tiller worked great. Started up right away without problems. Easier to maneuver that the previous tiller I had. Found other tillers the same size for more that what this one was priced at.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plenty of Power Just purchased this tiller. Remember to add startron or stabil fuel additive because ethanol in all unleaded fuel will ruin carb seals. This go,s for all new small engines purchases no one tells you this but manufacturer will not warranty if you don,t.use additives. Started 2nd pull. Like the ease of pull pins for bringing the tiller from 21in to 11in for weeding. Also don,t use the deepest setting on first pass over unbroken ground and this unit will preform fine .
