Hobart Handler® 140 MIG Welder is rated 4.9286 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handles everything I've needed to weld I purchased this welder to use in the restoration of an old truck and muscle car. So far I have had great results from sheetmetal to frame repair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Millers Farm Grade I purchased this welder mainly for one reason. It is made by Miller. It comes with a miller gun and a lot of the internal parts are probably Miller parts because it would be cheaper for them to just make one part instead of two different parts. My employer owns all Miller equipment and one of their machines is a Miller 140 mig welder. This welder looks exactly the same even the manual looks the same except it says Hobart instead of Miller. I have ran about 3 Lbs. of wire through this machine so far, for the price of the machine you can't beat the performance of it so far. Time will tell though but I feel pretty optimistic about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made in USA This is my second mig welder. My first was a flux core only machine. I was tired of cleaning up the slag and splatter of the flux core. I was all set to spend more money on a Millermatic when I saw the reviews on this Hobart and found out that they are owned by the same parent company. It turned out to be a wise choice. This 140 has a very stable arc and does a great job on 1/8 inch mild steel which is what I typically build with. I have been running solid .030 wire with straight Co2 shielding gas and the results are nothing short of fantastic. The portability if the 110v supply is an added bonus. I can also run it off my generator for field repairs on my farm tractor and implements when the need arises. I was thinking that I might buy a 220v Miller for my shop in the future, but I really don't think I will have to. This welder has the guts to handle every job I have had so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value as Expected From HOBART I bought this welder so that I would finally be able to weld and not borrow from neighbors. Even with the flux core wire the results are good. A lot more spatter with the FC wire, but it gets the job done. I will get a bottle after I pay the welder off. This is an EXCELLENT value and mostly USA made and assembled.
