It's one thing to talk innovation - it's another to back it up. Cub Cadet has been backing it up for decades. How? By building riding tractors, utility vehicles, and commercial mowers that work harder and perform better than anything else. Cub Cadet is committed to moving outdoor power equipment forward. The world around us is constantly advancing. Shouldn't the machines we use to care for it advance too?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but some issues I bought this trimmer last winter and have used it now for over 6 months. Overall it's very good, quiet motor has more than enough power (I use it with several attachments) and uses very little fuel - having the 4 cycle makes fueling it a snap. It starts right up by following the directions. Negatives - its a little on the heavy side; the shaft is a bit too long for me (I'm on the small side); after using the trimmer for long periods, restarting can sometimes be a little difficult but if I take a break it will start up just fine - it seems to want to cool down. Also the line spindle is cheaply made - I have replaced it with an after market version that is much stronger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy! I have owned this trimmer for two weeks now. I bought a strap for it before I ever started it. Started easy enough for a engine being broken in. Now that it has around an hour of use it starts very easy, hit the primer 3x give it a little throttle with the choke on one, pull up to 3 times, as soon as it fires flip the choke to two and let it idle for 20 sec or so and flip to 3 and trim away. It is pretty heavy, but with the strap I dont mind the heft for the extra power the engine provides.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too heavy This trimmer has plenty of power and mows very well. I really like the fact that I no longer have to mix the fuel with oil and do like how easy it is to change out the trimmer string. My one & only dislike of this trimmer is the weight. I do a lot of trimming on my 5 acres of property including both sides of a 150 yard long steep creek bank. I clocked my total time trimming in 1 day at around 3 hours to complete my entire property. After 3 hours of using this trimmer I feel like someone ripped my arm off. Now please don't get me wrong, this trimmer is awesome when it comes to the power and ease of use but it is too heavy. I will be looking in to purchasing some type of shoulder strap for this trimmer in the very near future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheaply Made I bought the 29cc Cub trimmer which is powerful but thats the problem. The shaft on the attachments are metal...the upper receiving driveshaft is Plastic. So when I was clearing an area of brush the plastic driveshaft opening warped and melted. Its seems Cub cadet has a third party making their trimmers and using cheap plastic parts to make more profit. I am totally dissatisfied and I WILL NEVER BUY A CUB PRODUCT AGAIN. Im now looking at Stihl (made in German, all metal and high quality) it may cost me more but it will last.
