Cub Cadet 2X 528 SWE Two-Stage Snow Thrower is rated 4.3333 out of 5 by 9.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good machine I bought one of these Dec. 2012 to replace an old tired MTD tractor w/ snowblower. It took a little geting used to the controls (so different than the MTD), but once I got used to it, it was great. My garage is a long way from the road and is perpendicular to it, so I have a question mark shaped gravel driveway of about 5400 sq. ft. (approx. 1/8 acre) that I have to clear. This blower does the job very well, is very easy on gas and I love the electric start. I get more exersize now than I did with my MTD - somewhere near 1000 steps everytime I use it. I didn't rate it as excellent because this is only the start of the second winter using it - so far, so good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked like a charm I bought a Cub Cadet 528 SWE last November. We had a major winter snow fall last winter in SW Michigan. The snow thrower performed flawlessly. It was almost a pleasure to go out and do battle with the snow. The only complaint I had was the headlight is positioned behind the chute. It blocked a lot of the light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This machine did exactly wanted I needed it to do. I called the dealer where I purchased my Cub Cadet Rider, and he was sold out. I then contacted another local store, and found this 528. It is very similar to a machine I had used in Upstate NY. I did not bring it when we moved to Virginia, because "it hardly ever snows there".

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Standard features I bought this unit in the fall of 2010.had a hard time trying to figure which one to get so I decided to go all in and get the two stage with all the goodies. I have a three car garage which narrows to 2 at the curb. Length is only 45 feet. But I have a corner lot about 150 ft. wide and 80 ft. deep so I do have a lot of walkway to clear. And when our city plows come by they stack all the over burden in front of your drive and if it is slushy and refreezes it is hard to shovel out. First year I only started it two times. :] Guess it scared the snow away. It took a little getting use to the drive system like an army tank, but once you do its sweet sailing. On a open path of walkway this thing just purrs thru heavy snow. And that frozen slush you just cut back a couple of gears and let it eat slowly through it. This is a good unit for open spaces with six forward speeds. The second year I really enjoyed it but, I have tennis elbow in both arms and I tend to man handle it especially in tight spaces. That's where this machine can be a little two much because it does not like tight spaces. Like a stallion it wants to run. I never had one problem with it and stored it under a work bench with the handle broke down and the chute removed. It can fit into a little under a 4X4 cubic ft. of space for the off season. In the end I have to admit I bought too much machine. At the start of the third season I sold it for almost what I paid for it and man it started snowing the evening I sold it and seemed like it snowed every other day. I manned up the rest of the season with the shovel and in November bought a Cub single stage 221LHP and put some dough back in the pocket. It has a few of the good features like the adjustable chute, which saves the back from bending over to constantly adjust, the headlight, and electric start. Hope I have the same luck with it.
