Tractor Seat
Date:October 19, 2011
I bought this seat today and am very well pleased with it. I have a 1971 820 John Deere tractor I bought new. After 40 years the original seat was in bad shape. There was no trouble in changing the seats, the mounting plate fit the same bolt holes and only took about 15 minutes to mount.

Item seems well built. I really liked it, but none of the holes matched up with the bolts on my JD4600 Compact Utility Tractor. Too bad, as this is a great price. Also, this seat lacks a seatbelt and so I would have had to forgo that safety feature if the seat did fit, and, more importantly, the seat deadman's switch from the original JD seat frame would have had to been jerry-rigged (essentially rigged to be always on) with this seat frame. So if these safety features are not important to you and the bolt holes provided actually match your tractor, this seems like a nice seat and frame, for less cost than just the seat replacement from JD.
