Worked like a charm. . .
Date:November 8, 2011
Caught my target racoon in this cage in less than an hour. It held the racoon overnight with no issues until I could dispose of the animal in the morning. The cage was pretty beat up after the ordeal, but it was a small price to pay to capture a rabid racoon.

Nothing wrong with these traps!!!
Date:August 31, 2011
I've read many reviews on these type of live traps and most of them complain that the animal takes the bait but manages to get back out of the trap. If that's your issue - get a BIGGER trap. I've been after the same groundhog under my deck for 2 YEARS and thought I'd finally be able to get her when I figured out she would go for ripe tomatoes (nothing else worked). She kept taking the bait and most of the time, didn't even trip the door closed. It turns out she was too big and when the door came down, it wouldn't come closed far enough to latch her in. All she had to do was back up and she was gone. I ended up having to wire two large traps together since I couldn't locate an extra large trap in the store and wonder of wonders, there she was, safely boxed inside this morning. Finally my garden is safe!
I have one of these so called great live traps here. It has been all but destroyed by any animals it has caught. The last one in it ..a racoon which it is designed for tore part of the bottom out and destroyed the trigger mechanism beyond repair. I would never buy another type of trap from Tractor Supply...I only wish they would give me a refund for a major defective item.. The 32 inch trap is junk
